Security & CCTV Cameras

Cortex cameras cover every signal format an installer runs into on the job — native IP/PoE, and HD-over-coax in AHD, TVI, and CVI, often on the same 4-in-1 camera. Every model ships with a 3-year warranty and Cortex's Essential or Advanced AI analytics package.

Network / PoE

IP Cameras

Digital PoE cameras for new installs and larger channel counts, built to run on Cortex Medallion NVRs with onboard AI analytics.

Low-Light Imaging

ColorMAX Cameras

Dual-sensor / dual-light technology that keeps footage in full color after dark instead of switching to black-and-white IR, useful for color-of-vehicle and clothing detail at night.

HD-Over-Coax

AHD / TVI / CVI — 4-in-1 Cameras

Cortex 4-in-1 cameras auto-detect AHD, TVI, CVI, or analog signal on the same coax run — ideal for upgrading an existing analog install without repulling cable.

Pan / Tilt / Zoom

PTZ Cameras

Motorized pan-tilt-zoom domes for parking lots, perimeters, and wide-area coverage, with preset tours and optical zoom for license plate or facial detail at distance.

Perimeter Detection

Thermal Cameras

Heat-signature imaging for total darkness, fog, and long perimeter lines where visible-light IR can't reach — commonly paired with analytics for intrusion alerts.

FAQ

Camera format questions

What does 4-in-1 mean on a camera spec sheet?

It means the camera can output AHD, TVI, CVI, or analog signal on the same coax cable, and will auto-detect which format your DVR expects. This lets installers stock one camera model for jobs with unknown or mixed existing DVRs.

Will a Cortex IP camera work with a non-Cortex NVR?

Most Cortex IP cameras support ONVIF, so they can be added to many third-party NVRs, but you'll get full analytics, ColorMAX control, and app integration only when paired with a Medallion NVR.

What's the difference between Essential AI and Advanced AI on Cortex cameras?

Essential AI covers core detection like human and vehicle classification with reduced false motion alerts. Advanced AI adds features such as line-crossing, intrusion zones, and more granular analytic rules, and is standard on the 5MP and 8MP ColorMAX Medallion lines.
